Why Rigorous?
Colin Riggs and Diane Abruzzini established Rigorous in 2020. Prior to Rigorous, Colin spent a decade leading the design and deployment of marine robotic systems for government, research, and private ventures. He worked on remotely operated vehicles, autonomous underwater vehicles, submarines, and diver systems. Despite several limitations, such as no PLCs and no GPS, there was no room for error when it came to controlling or positioning a robot in the sea.
After building numerous robots, Colin formed strong opinions on how to develop robust and reliable ones. In 2020, we founded Rigorous to bring that perspective to land.
